Bedfordview & Sandton Appliance Services was founded in 1988 as a SME dedicated to providing our client with fast, reliable and affordable repairs &
services for all kinds of appliances big or small!
Since then we have grown to have Bedfordview and Sandton stores. Our technicians are highly qualified and trained to ensure your appliances get the best services possible. We have been providing our customers with over 37 years of quality services & repairs! We are also proud to have earned the distinction of being a preferred partner to major appliance brands and insurance companies.
Company History
1988
Sandton Appliance Services was established in 1988, trading as Sandton Appliance Services (Pty) Ltd. It was acquired in 1990 by the present owner, Don Barecchia, who registered it as Sandton Appliance Services CC.
1995
As the demand for the specialised services increased gradually over the years, it became necessary to augment the technical staff and working space, leading to a company expansion in 1995.
2004
Appliance Services & Repairs was launched by Pino Barecchia in the Orion Shopping Centre in Elma Park, Bedfordview, with the main aim of providing more accessible services for these areas.
2010
Bedfordview & Sandton Appliance Services expanded even further in 2010, with both companies relocating for better efficiency and operational efficacy.
2011
The outstanding track record of both companies has led to their appointment as service agents for insurance companies such as Izinga Access, Discovery Insure, PSG Insurance and Standard Bank Home Assist for the maintenance of all white/grey appliances, as well as for major brands in the appliance industry: Breville, WAHL, De Longhi Group, Kenwood, Braun, SEB Group, Krups, Tefal, Rowenta, Moulines, Chaps, Melitta and CLC.
2012
Since Bedfordview & Sandton Appliance Services have expanded even further. Both companies have an average staff compliment of 32 skilled employees.
2021
Sandton Appliance Services was awarded the Discovery Insure Partner Awards 2021 for best Regional Contents Repairers of the year.
